The UK Association for Gestalt Practitioners is the UK’s National Organisation for Gestalt Therapy (NOGT) and an Ordinary Member of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT). It is a professional, umbrella organisation, structurally and legally independent from any Training Institutes, aiming to represent, promote and support Gestalt Therapy in the UK.
UKAGP aim to be the primary go to place for all Gestalt related information in the UK for:
- Gestalt Practitioners: membership, news about conferences, continued professional development (CPD), local, national and international events, special interest groups, networking opportunities, therapist directory entry, opportunities to get involved in the wider community including conference organisation, research project support.
- Non-Gestalt mental health practitioners: Current up to date information about Gestalt, CPD, cross-modality opportunities, networking and collaborating.
- Prospective clients: Information about Gestalt, access to the online Directory of accredited Gestalt therapists.
- Training Institutes: Publicity, representation through the new Consultative Group, connection with European colleagues and institutes.
- Trainees and prospective trainees: information about current training opportunities across the country, awareness of activities taking place outside of individual training institutes, possibilities of getting involved in the wider community including conference organisation.
