Residential Retreat 2026
UKAGP Residential Retreat 2026
Navigating Safety and Fear in a Shifting Field
This year we will be gathering in a different way. For the first time, our 2026 residential will take the form of a three-night retreat, shaped by a slower rhythm, space for depth, and a rich mix of shared and reflective experiences in a new venue.
This year’s theme
Our theme, Navigating Safety and Fear in a Shifting Relational Field, feels especially timely.
Experiences of safety and fear are shaping our work, our institutions, and the wider social and political landscape. They appear in moments of contact and withdrawal, in groups and organisations, and across the systems we inhabit.
This retreat offers space to explore how these dynamics arise between us, and how we meet them.
Across the weekend there will be whole-community gatherings, workshops, and facilitated spaces, alongside process groups and time for reflection, informal dialogue, and rest. The pace will be spacious, allowing experience to unfold and deepen over time.
EarthSpirit marks a complete departure from the corporate conference hotels we usually inhabit. The setting is simpler and more rustic, and we hope it will enable us to meet the environment, one another, and ourselves in different and meaningful ways.

Accommodation
Accommodation at EarthSpirit is simple, comfortable, and mostly shared. Options include shared rooms and spaces accommodating between two and six guests, as well as tents, caravans, and camper van spaces.
If you would like to stay with specific colleagues or friends, we encourage you to coordinate with them and include their name(s) in the Room Share Request field on the booking form.
Room allocations depend on the combination of bookings we receive. If you do not request a specific person, or if the named person does not complete a booking, we will allocate you a place within the accommodation type you selected with another participant of the same gender.
Final room allocations will be confirmed closer to the retreat.
View various accommodations on Main Centre Earth Spirit and Little Earth.
To help create this different kind of experience, and to keep costs as accessible as possible, we will invite everyone to share in caring for the space during our time together. In this way, tending the environment becomes part of the retreat itself: a simple, shared contribution that supports the whole community.
There is no licensed bar on site, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks and borrow glasses from the retreat. The venue asks that glasses are returned washed to the kitchen after use.
Further practical details will be shared in due course.
